Dear Kindergarten and Transitional Kindergarten Students and Families,
My name is Holly Noble and I am excited to be teaching kindergarten and transitional kindergarten at Montecito Union this year. I feel privileged to be a teacher and love spending my days guiding, inspiring, and encouraging students as they grow both academically and personally.
This year marks my twenty-second year as a teacher. I earned a Masters degree in education from California Lutheran University and hold credentials for elementary and secondary education. I began my career as an elementary school teacher. Then, after earning my secondary credential, I taught middle school gifted language-arts, history, and drama. Additionally, during this time I also served as a school site GATE coordinator and was responsible for curriculum design and enrichment opportunities school-wide. Later, I served as a teacher for a charter school where I was responsible for supervising independent study students in kindergarten-eighth grade. In the past decade, I have earned additional credentials in the areas of art, reading instruction, and administration. I am currently taking additional coursework related to early childhood education. Prior to joining the MUS faculty, I taught first grade in southern Ventura County before moving back to Santa Barbara with my husband and two children. As a Santa Barbara native, I am delighted to be back in the community.
Over the course of the summer, I have been working closely with our incredible kindergarten grade team to prepare for a wonderful year. I am looking forward to getting to know our students and to an exciting year filled with thinking and learning!
